Played my copy the other week. Can't hear anything wrong with it. Bass is solid. Treble isn't painful. Very little surface noise. And I didn't have to pay too much for it either

Not sure if there are variations but mine sounds pretty fantastic. Bass kicks, drums sound clear and dynamic, guitars cutting. Have always loved this album. Glad to have it on vinyl. Play it regularly.

Congratulations on buying a terrible digital remaster on an analogue format. Now, its not the fact its digital cut to LP thats the problem, its that...

A - its BADLY done digital, being flat as a pancake. Like the bass and mids have no warmth and the uppers and treble are just dry and tonally flat. Grey tonality would be a perfect description here.

B - its pressed by the French masters of non fill at MPO only with it being white you wont know until you play it and wonder why someone keeps farting at high pitch through the speakers! The inner grooves are not cut well to boot so igd is highly likely here even half way through a side.

Congratulations on reading this and changing your mind to buy a nice OG (Uk or German will do) instead which positively wipes the floor with this abomination

Plays well and quietly without any aforementioned surface noise. The packaging and presentation are top notch. Sounds a bit less dynamic than a U.S. original pressing, but not enough to dissatisfy. This release could have been even better had it included the 4 B-sides from this album (Faster than light, Fame, Late Bar, and Khanada) on the second disc.

My copy on this sounds pretty good. I didn't have any noise issues.

Bought mine at Barnes & Noble yesterday. Mine plays fine and it is $13-25 less than those on Amazon that seem to be the same thing. I have the original and played a couple songs back-to-back and they sound the same. The new one is SO quiet between songs, I actually looked up to make sure the turntable was still playing.

My copy sounds perfect, no surface noise between tracks. I thought this sounded much better than the black reissue from a few years back. The white vinyl looks stunning.

Mine is quiet, but very compressed and lacking detail. Not terrible, but my original, clicks, pops and all is much better sounding.

Woah!! My ears are bleeding in a bad way. is it normal for a vinyl to sound so compressed??
