Khruangbin – Mordechai

Just got the most recent 2022 repress of this. It’s fantastic. Plays super quiet with very little surface noise. SQ is great and the sound is punchy and dynamic.

Bought this in December 2022. It sounds surprisingly great - especially considering the reviews here. Dynamic and warm. No pops.

It has a sticker saying "Made in Czech Republic"

I've listen to all Khruangbin albums but this one is the only one that really thrills me. Sad to read about the press quality.

If you need the vinyl for a collection then I guess this works, but from an audio standpoint this really doesn't shine. Noisy vinyl and the mastering just doesn't work. The sound stage has been kind of imploded and it just doesn't have the depth. The HD digital version on streaming services is the way to go on this one unfortunately.

I’ve had an unopened copy of this album sitting on my shelf for awhile and finally opened it up tonight and gave it a spin… and I am sorry to report that it really is a terrible pressing :( Very noticeable distortion on the guitars and vocals. Streaming the album off Spotify sounds leagues better than this. Very disappointed as I love Khruangbin

I guess I lucked on a great copy. Had some dust on the record upon opening but cleaned it off with my tonar brush and there was barely any surface noise. Record played amazing.

Pressing sounds great for me. Mid range is well separated from the bass. The guitar cuts through the mix and rides on-top of the bass, which is I'm sure how its intended it to sound. No noise at all.

Not as terrible as other Dead Oceans pressings, but not perfect. Surface noise is irritating but not overwhelming. There's a scratch or obstruction on the last track of sude 1, "If There Is No Question," so it skips on "you're not crazy." Which makes me wonder if it's no intentional

It’s been said already, but this pressing is awful. The most awful sounding new record I have bought. Khruangbin’s record label needs to sack its pressing company, or Khruangbin needs to sack its record label. I’ve had great pressings made - it’s not difficult.
