My copy is quiet, flat enough, and delivers sonically. It is a tad bottom heavy at times but still revealed plenty of detail. It is a fun and engaging presentation of this essential Britpop lp.

These seem more scarce now new, but found one and is excellent value for the price point. This pressing reminds me of the Smiths' 2012 that keeps getting reissued which is awesome, because they too sound great and the audience expands.

Wonderful album - mediocre sound. I have the Sally Cinnamon and Turns Into Stone vinyl reissues and those have disappointing sound quality too, so I have to assume The Stone Roses just weren't an audiophile-friendly band in those early years.

For GZ I was pretty impressed with this press. Dynamic sound, 99% flat pressing. There was a little bit of surface noise but had little effect when music started. Again for GZ this is one of their better ones. I have to disagree with comments that it’s muddy, on my system I have great separation and clarity. Didn’t have to use EQ, sounds great on its own.

          Beautiful edition.
          Can’t find a fault.
Flat, full, takes you from here to somewhere over there.
          Essential.

Great pressing to these ears. I Wanna Be Adored is gorgeous and the rest matches in sonics and diversity.

Solid pressing - saw some grief about these reissues on other listings, which I believe (quality control is wonky at GZ), but my copy is a very well mixed record with very quiet play through (after cleaning). Very good soundstage, not too much but not too little bass, and most importantly - an incredible album.

Holy smokes. Gave it a thorough cleaning up on receipt. Dead quiet, and so dynamic. Sounds stellar, even on my modest setup. If you can get a hold of this one, grab it. Fyi still available on Amazon (U.S.) for $24. Be quick!

Sounds great to me. No surface noise and an all round amazing debut.

Sounds good to me. I see some saying its muddy, but honestly this sounds just as "muddy" as the lossless files. This album never had stellar fidelity to begin with, so expecting additional details out of this is unrealistic imo. My copy has no defects, although the printed inner jacket, predictably left debris and hairline scratches on the disc. Doesn't affect playback.

                    I'm satisfied.

A very nice sounding reissue and clean pressing. I did not experience any of the aforementioned issues thankfully. The music sounds full range and detailed. Some excellent songs from a Beatles /Kinks /psychedelic-influenced group from the late '80s. It is easy to understand how they influenced many bands that followed. Some guitar forward writing and creative guitar work.

The very last track, "I Am The Resurrection", is the keeper.

                      3.5 stars.
