Edited 3 years agoIn addition to the old crummy speakers this edition has quite some static sound laid over the tracks, its quite noisy over the quieter parts of songs. Only one pop on A6 which will probably come out in a deep clean. Fond affections affections sounds stunning as always and Dreams Made Flesh a very emotional track maybe the best off of side 2. Edit: I got better speakers 4/5 listen to this record. -
My copy is signed by Simon Raymonde, and I think that this make sit sound a little better... -
No code . My copy sounds good , a few clicks on side one but other than that very pleased . -

Very good pressing indeed, in fact one of the best I've encountered recently.
Faithful mastering. -
Just received my copy and i find it really great. The sound is clear and powerfull. No crackling on any side. I think it is a really good pressing from MPO.
"Deluxe edition" comes for the new artwork and shiny sleeve (not what i like most by the way). -
Non-fill on my side A. Mostly light, but audible, and on every track.
Very disappointed, I have usually had good luck from MPO pressings. Trying for a replacement now.
Disc is clean aside from this, no warps etc.
Mastering sounds good to my ears. -
Edited 6 years agoNot impressed with the quality of the pressing for this 2018 release. Have gone through two copies - both have a minor dish warp. One has intermittent surface noise in "Fond Affections," "The Last Ray," "Another Day," and "Barramundi" due to non-fill, while the other copy had very loud, persistent surface noise all the way through "The Last Ray," making that track completely unlistenable.
Update: Finally found a decent, relatively quiet copy of this without non-fill or other surface noise. Happy to have found a good copy, but whoever pressed these has a fairly serious quality control problem.
