Yes Yes big up the going gets tough I would go as far as saying that this is THE reference bench mark jungle tune.

Edited 7 years agoGoing Gets Tough is one of my all time favourite drum and bass records. I had this recorded on to a cassette tape as part of a DJ mix and I played it in a friend's car one day. This vehicle had a terrific sound system installed with powerful subs, we used it as a test lab to see how tunes sounded and this one provoked a huge reaction from everyone. The bass is really strong and punchy, so don't let the mellow vibes fool you- this one is engineered to perfection!

This piece of wax is a stalwart in my collection I know that..... Going Gets Tough is chilled, tripped out rollin', structured musical genius with a REAL nostalgic feel and Subphonic very much the same, but in a more steppy style/rhythm etc.

Edited 10 years agoThis is my favourite Lemon D tune ever. I first heard it in the Blue Note in Hoxton, and it just came across so well on that system. The high pitched whine you hear throughout the tune lifts you up into the air, while the bass just punches you hard with every note. The simplest of little shuffles over the distorted breakbeat keeps you moving, then the pads kick back in and... it's just sublime. Love love love it!
