Danger Doom – The Mouse And The Mask

I got this back in 2017. It's great to have the EP/remixes but the quality of the pressing just isn't as good as the 2015 2LP (with the rorschach cover) - this pressing has a bit more inner groove distortion and is generally noisier. It's not bad, but I usually use my 2015 copy to listen to the album and then throw on the 3rd disc from this after.

Interestingly, if you compare the records you can see that the 2015 pressing utilises the 12" space better than this. There's a lot more deadwax on this pressing.

Anyway, this is my favourite DOOM project, along with Vaudeville Villain and JJ DOOM. Call me doggy... woof!

My copy is riddled with inner groove distortion. It's one of the recent 2021 represses.

Picked up a copy of this from Fat Beats, but the first side of the first record and the first side of the third record both skip when played.
Shipped it back, got a replacement and the replacement did the same thing in the same spots. Unfortunate, because it's quite enjoyable otherwise.

Got mine from Turntable Lab today. Fairly low on surface noise, but has pretty bad inner groove distortion. Some of the songs sound great, others not so much. Happy to have it on vinyl, but probably wont be spinning it much.

No surface noise on mine at all. Perfect copy, apart from not coming with the hype sticker, but it's a tri gatefold so there was no way to keep it on there once it's open anyway so who cares. Awesome to have Occult Hymn on vinyl. The remixes sound like completely new songs which is super cool.

Mine is beautiful, sounded very great and clean, listened to the three discs and all is ok. Just miss the sticker on the shrink but it doesn’t matter.

These seem to be a touch hit and miss. Mine has a section of surface noise in the right channel on A1, but it subsides by the end of the track. The remaining five sides are all clean and clear. All three have ever so slightly small center holes too. Not fatal flaws but enough to move this pressing into “mediocre” territory. The packaging is great and the mix sounds really good, but those little technical details compromise the set some.

Dead silent on mine...glad I picked this up on a whim...forgot how great this album is. Sounds amazing...I am actually shocked at how loud this LP is. Booming at low levels.

So is this out of print now? Shocked it was that limited. Apparently amazon has been out of stock ror months.
