INXS – The Swing

This is an absolutely spectacular sounding pressing. I'd love to know who mastered it, but in that era, there were still plenty of mastering engineers who didn't get official credit or sign the deadwax. Regardless, this pressing is well worth picking up. I thought the old HDTracks 24-bit/192kHz digital version that was only available for sale for a limited time sounded great, but this blows it away on a good turntable.

Great sounding vinyl! Rich in bass, dynamics and a well balance in instruments. A very well remastered vinyl and the pressing is also flat and no pops Whats so ever.

I owned this as a cassette, lol. I think it sounds ok. Kind of flat, not vivid.

Although not noted for this entry - this is the light blue (very light blue, almost white) ring label on a USA PDO, silver to the spindle hole, pressing. On my copy, the Matrix runout is: 818 553-2 03. I

Played the hell out of this album in college. It holds up well and the pressing is excellent.

In my opinion, this one just as great as any of their more popular albums. Hutchence really finds his swagger here. In that, they become the band that many of us knew and loved. There isn't a weak song on this one. Very well produced and executed.

Not mentioned in the notes, but I have this pressing with the gold promo stamp on the back cover as some of the US Allied pressings have.

Discogs needs to adjust the release date to 1984…think the date is incorrect saying 1987.
