The title is copied from "The Core, A Huge Evergrowing Pulsating Brain Which Rules From The Centre Of Ultraworld" which was written by Sci-Fi Sound Effects - Science Fiction Sound Effects No.26.

Writing credits Woolley, Horn, Lipson, and Darlow are for the choral sample from the intro to a particular version of the Grace Jones song "Slave To The Rhythm". Writing credits for Ripperton and Rudolph are for the vocal sample from the Minnie Riperton song "Loving You".

No "Loving You" samples were included in the WAU! Mr Modo releases of the Orbital Dance Mix and Orbital Radio Mix. When those tracks were reissued on Big Life, new "Loving You" vocals were added, sung by someone else in Riperton's style.

According to Alex Paterson, the original WAU! Mr Modo 12" A-side ran about 23 minutes; it had to be edited down to under 20 minutes on later releases in order to conform to Gallup chart rules. However, the existence of a 23-minute version on any release has yet to be confirmed.
