Anthrax – State Of Euphoria

The production for this album wasnt great so dont expect this pressing to do any miracles, though too much surface noise at the beginning and end of each side

The high-hat on this pressing is too damn hot. Very ear-fatiguing. Constant, high pitched TSSS TSSS TSSS!!!!!

1. In this case parent label didn't share original STERLING DMM matrices done by Greg Calbi with any of its major European branches. Not a unique feature as it happened those days but not often.
2. I owned UK, EEC and Italian issues and in my opinion US original has the richest detailed sound against those ones. Punchy bass line, spacious sound, nice treble tonality.
3. Unlike some other versions this one has no IGD or any signs of sound dropping quality on the last track.
Especially on side 1 (29 min duration) where Who Cares Wins plays spectacular.
Summary: an impressive issue.

I'm very surprised in a very negative way because my comment about thοse italian sellers has been deleted. And i repeat: THIS PAGE IS FOR THE GREEK VERSION. There is another page for the italian, so why these sellers are trying to confuse the customers? Are the discogs s agree with it?

Great record, clear and without scratches. Had this first press and was so stupid to sell this album!

The sound is good. But I compared it with the first European press, and there the sound is more powerful and deeper. If you haven't heard the original, then this will do.Vinyl is quiet, good quality.

Some great tunes in here(Be all end all,Now it's dark, Finale)and some obviously forced(Schism,Misery loves company).
Usually band called this album as 'unfinished' and have to agree with it but this is not a bad or average record at all.
It is just stucked between their probably best records but I like it and recommend it to everyone who loves Anthrax and heavy music in general.

Easily my favourite Joey era Anthrax album, probably because it's the one I bought first. I hate the look of the Island remasters so had to dig around for this. Glad to have it back in my CD collection.

This should be in the State of Euphoria group, not standing by itself on the main band page.
