Peter Gabriel – Peter Gabriel

This was the version I grew-up on. And I find this track order so much more enjoyable than the official version. Ending with "A Wonderful Day" is more uplifting, instead of "Home Sweet Home" with lyrics like "When I came home from work that night. She'd jumped out the window with our child". I change the track order on my digital versions to match this one.

Not my favorite Gabriel record. After reading up on it, it definitely sounds like it’s Peter’s least favorite as well. There is some good material here but it just feels incomplete. My pressing sounds really good. Recommended for PG fans.

Sounds very good and so happy to have found a perfect copy at a convention in Pittsburgh for $25!. One of those little suprises I wasn't looking for but was happy to pick up

Mine has a "Promotional Copy NOT FOR SALE" gold stamp on the cover.

This is a decent pressing of this album. It lacks a little punch of some others I’ve heard and has a bit more surface noise than I prefer but, overall, it’s a good copy for the price. Released in 1984, two years before the first CD release, so I’m not sure if it’s mastered from a digital source.

I have #484. No lyric sheet. Sounds decent enough.

My copy (in great condition) came w/o the inner. The record is housed in polylined Made in England. Anyone experienced this?

Fine pressing, quiet and dynamic. I have never found the CD for this release to sound quite right, this disc sounds identical to the record I loved when I first heard it in 1978. Has the loop at the end of White Shadow on Side 1. Fascinating and underrated LP.
