Ten Years After – A Space In Time

Bought this sealed in 2025, very good pressing quality beating most of the new reissues of today. Don't own another pressing to compare to it sonicwise, but I'm impressed with the overall presentation, crisp highs, great separation and soundstage. Recommend

Anyone else have 2 "Side 2" labels? The record itself has correct music on side 1 and side 2 but 2, Side 2 labels

The matrix matches perfectly however the cover of my copy is a full uncropped photo on back cover

Great buy. I think the original is still better than the remix. Anyways, you get the best of both worlds when you get this one.

I had an old beat up original US pressing that belonged to my High School sweetheart's older sister. It was gifted to me since I liked it so much, I played it a lot back in the day (early 80's). That thing had all the residual noise, scratches, pops, ticks and skips that went with pot smoking hippies with cheap beater turntables (and probably whatever stylus could be purchased for the least amount) and never put the records in the sleeves. At the time I had a meager vinyl collection, which are all still in my possession and kept still pristine, but I loved this album so I took the gift gladly.

Fast forward 40 years, I just happened to see this on sale at Amazon Prime Day for $32, so I pulled the trigger. So far I have only listened to the Kimsey remix, but man this sounds so good!!! Very quiet, flat vinyl. Deep darks, wide soundstage, the mix sounds perfect. I believe it has a touch more low end (I will have to listen to the original mix to compare), either way, this is a phenomenal sounding pressing. Alvin Lee sounds great, guitar and voice...right on, taking me back to my youth!

This 16-bit remaster, issued 47 (!) years after its debut, sounds amazing. The clarity dynamics, and mix are perfect. I've owned this in many formats, but this beats them all. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I'm sometimes reminded that 16-bits can sound extremely good, with this being a prime example. Excellent!
