I really must say that this sound fantastic, the fact that you have little croud noise makes this better to me, its full of sound, you get from a couple of tracks, but thats the live recording from the time, i for one am please to have this is my collection.

Very nice publication, the sound quality is great. I don’t care, if it looks good on the shelf, but it is a pleasure to listening to this kind of quality music.

Edited 12 months agoThis is a great show however the remix of the show by the always wildly overrated Giles Martin and team really puts a hurting on it. Find the original film with the original mono soundtrack and enjoy. And wonder why they felt the need to do a horrible remix.
Bootleggers do what you do best and give us the real deal!! -
This record sounds pretty good to me. Considering the concert happened in 1970, no complaints on my end. It’s an enjoyable listen.

This copy sucks balls. USC twice and no effect. I originally thought one of my driver tubes had died or my stylus had went out. Nope. Distortion for days! Glad I only paid $12. Terrible. Nice cover though. -
I took the plunge on this one after being favorably impressed by the on Apple Music. Liked the set and I thought it was reasonably well recorded for a 1970 concert. I have just finished playing the vinyl and was very favorably impressed. I don’t think it is fair to compare a 1970 live concert recording to a studio recording. That being said I thought the sound was very good and reasonably clear and jumped off the vinyl. No cringing at bad concert recording moments. I don’t have a standard 33 vinyl recording but these 45s sounded great. Vinyl was flat and dead quiet. Add to this the set by CRR was great. I have not played the Blu-ray yet. I won’t be using the CDs but would be good for anyone wanting to rip these to their phone. I really like this box set and that is coming from someone skeptical of both live performances and the annoyance of constantly flipping 45s. This one is worth it to me.

Very nice publication, but the sound quality is terribly poor. It looks good on the shelf, but it is not suitable for listening to quality music.

Too bad they had to convert the tapes to digital... from the Craft Recordings website, the descriptions for all the vinyl versions say this: "This 180g LP was mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios using high-resolution files sourced from the analog multi-track tapes"... I picked up the cassette for the car and will stick with the Live at Woodstock 2xLP which is nearly the same set...

I have to disagree with some of the comments, my copy is flat, plays quiet and sounds great to my ears. It's only as good as the original tapes so it is what it is.
But, I will agree the cover artwork is terrible.

i appreciate what they were working with as a source for this album but this is not a very good sounding record. Keep On Chooglin' closes things out with great energy at least.
