Notes
Released on June 14, 1972, two years after the duo had disbanded. It's a mix of original studio recordings and four previously unreleased live recordings.
The record's minimalist packaging does not specifically date the latter; however, the live versions of "For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her" and "Kathy's Song" included on "Greatest Hits" were also included on the 2008 album "Live 1969."
The liner notes to "Live 1969" state that these two songs were both recorded at a November 1969 concert in St. Louis, Missouri.
According to the liner notes from Collected Works, however, the version of "Kathy's Song" was taken from a 1968 concert in Vermont.

Very good pressing with a perfect tracklist. With studio and live versions. The sound is very detailed, beautiful soundstage and vocals. The record is rather quiet with sometimes very light crackles. The color of the turquoise vinyl is also very nice -
Can someone help me figure out which pressing I have? PAL 31350-3B / PBL 31350-3AD, no other markings at all. Sleeve says KC 31350. -
80년대, 사이먼 앤 가펑클을 처음 만난 건 한 장의 카세트 테이프였습니다. 그들의 음악은 오랫동안 기억 속에 남아 있었고, 30년이 넘은 지금, 같은 앨범을 바이닐로 다시 듣게 되었습니다.
아날로그 특유의 따뜻한 음색과 함께 떠오르는 옛 기억들. 오랜 시간이 흘렀지만, 이 앨범은 여전히 담백하고 진솔한 울림을 줍니다. 단순한 추억이 아니라, 음악 그 자체로 여전히 충분히 빛나는 작품입니다. -

Edited 10 months agoBought used (VG+). The record is flat and well centered. Not a bad pressing, but it doesn't sound way better than digital versions. An awesome and timeless classic album. 3.9 / 5 -
Hilarious that the US and the UK versions on 8 have exact same track order (which also almost never happens) but on the Italian 8 they got really creative went completely off-piste and almost none are in the same play order; makes it a nice different album then

dpr: iI don’t see the above cited information on the liner notes for Collected Works and the liner notes for “Live 1969” also says that all tracks are previously unreleased, so I not sure about the notes

Pretty good pressing of a really fantastic compilation. If you see it at Big Lots for $19.99 don't hesitate.
It is worth it alone for Art Garfunkel's live rendition of "For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her."
