I only knew the QUAD mix of this and always liked it. This stereo mix sounds great to me, It has a very warm sound, great package, good pressing - well worth it IMO. -

Excellent but non essential. Its more a curiosity for completionists and i find i prefer the original mix. There isnt a huge difference. Theyve mainly bought the lower midrange up so the lower parts of the vocal harmonies sound more grounded but, also less ethereal in the way the albums meant to sound. Its also not as expansive as the original and abit more compressed owing to what must be digital manipulation. Its still a fine listen and the pressing came out very well (flat and quiet) but both of my other pressings with the OG mix are the best listens for me personally. Im still glad to have this and will spin it a few more times, where maybe it will grow on me and challenge the OG mix. I can think of worse things to do!! -

Loving this album. A great quality pressing, the gate fold sleeve with lyrics is always a bonus.
Not cheap and I imagine very few copies made it into New Zealand for record store Day 25. Feeling great after listening to an album almost as old as I am! -

Classic prog, this pressing sounds amazing. Highly recommend. Nice orange translucent vinyl too. -
Very well pressed by Optimal and very clean sounding reissue. I could leave the 7in but the whole package is good quality. Probably just shades my orange vinyl Purple Pyramid edition for sound bit theres almost nothing in it maybe just a slightly cleaner sound here
-
Suprisingly well pressed and good sounding reissue. For a Rainbo pressing to get a disc thats flat, on centre and groove noise free is tantamount to a miracle. The sound is clean and well balanced with no baked in IGD from poor cutting. The label and source are a mystery but this came out well and like the other review says, the orange vinyl is a nice bonus

As JT_Productions mentions below, half the mix is missing from this. Guitars are completely missing, well, certain tracks of guitars are missing, but most are completely gone. It's like you're listening to one channel on your stereo.

First observation is that this platter sounds soft, warm, crisp & full. Why ? Looking at the liner notes I read that it was mastered by the great Bob Ludwig. Album is delivered by Nektar with precision. All aspects of instrumentation are played with a tightness that only the best bands can do. Can’t go wrong with this release, don’t up. A must for any prog/psych rock collection.
