Weather Report – Black Market

I have this (and other CBS records) that has perforated golden stamp that reads «FOR PROMOTION ONLY Ownership Reserved By CBS, Sale Is Unlawful»

Anyone know how common/rare that is?

My copy is silent as well but I think noone mentioned that on back cover first three titles are not listed in correct order. I don't really care as they're listed correctly on the LP, which by the way, looks and sounds really good.

Edit: I can see that some earlier European reissues had this listing issue already.

Here we have an great jazz fusion record and sounds good. The sound is fresh and punchy. Amazing musicians and of course among them Jaco.

Nice pressing. One of the first albums I bought. Definitely worth picking up.

My copy is silent as can be. One of the best sounding records I own, I would say. I have 2 of these MOV weather report 2024 reissues and very happy with both.

3rd time lucky. Not MOV best imho. The first two had too many pops/tics. The third is close to silent bar two pops so thats good. The mastering is ok but its well short of the amazing job they did with their Heavy Weather reissue. Here its abit flat and lacking in body or dimensionality. Its more like the CD.
The jacket at least with its semi glass faux weave is nice and the art is good. Usual poly lined inner always good.
Overall, recommended if you get a quiet copy

A tad bright, as per MOV-standards, but excellent quality all-around.

What a superb record. The sound is clear and well balanced. I've discovered and heard sounds that are lost on the CD or thrown down to the background.

The soundstage, separation and clarity on this is incredible, not to mention the insane musicianship and creativity. An absolute fusion staple...
