k.d. lang – Shadowland (The Owen Bradley Sessions)

Where has this album been all my life? Soaring, gorgeous vocals framed by Owen Bradley's lush, sweeping production, and a great selection of material...this is a masterpiece from start to finish. This pressing sounds really good too, not nearly as slick and glossy as so many other records from the era, with a warmth and intimacy to the soundstage. My copy plays nice and clean, with no noticeable surface noise. Good stuff.

14 tunes crammed in this country flavored Lang LP...Recorded in Tennessee in 1988, k.d. really delivers with her vocals...Roger Miller tune plus one by Chris Issak...plus Mr. E. Tubb music in on this VINYL...If you are a k.d. fan you'll want to play this on your turntable...

This is an incredible album, sound is fantastic, and the production is flawless.

Stunning-sounding recording. The dynamics range on the vinyl version is really exceptional.

I love k.d. lang and both her original work as well as her stunningly good interpretations of other people's work.
This record is drowning in 80's reverb and delay and as a result sounds very dated. A good candidate for a future remix, IMO.

Wow what a stunning album (1988 Pressing), sound is sublime and sounds just like you would expect a pressing to sound like.

Pretty average repress, its not bad though. Would probably stick with a nice earlier pressing if you really love this album.
