Steel Pulse – Handsworth Revolution

I’m fairly certain the release year for this copy is 1984

Thankfully this Deluxe Edition CD is streaming. If it is ever repressed I will buy immediately.

My VG+ copy sounds wide, crisp and clear. Noise free and great dynamics with some impressive detail. Played on a vintage Hitachi PS-38 TT with an AT VM540ML cartridge.

My copy of this is superb, very clean and incredibly low noise. Great separation of instruments. Sounds wonderful.

Great rich, dynamic sound. Fairly quiet as well. I’m not expert but I have a decent reggae collection and this is probably the best sounding I have save the Bob Marley UHQRs.

my copy is quite clean. no clicks, cracks or scratches. good photos & description. what's actually bad is the habit of using rigid inner covers. immediately packed them in master sleeves. the dub directly behind the vocals would also be nicer. but you can not have it all. otherwise no complaints, clear pressing/mastering in my opinion.

This 12" mix of Prediction is different from the original 12". The deluxe CD reissue does have the original mix though, which is superior imo.

Great sound but ... Unfortunately, the records are once again in those unspeakably tight cardboard inner sleeves. The records are already scratchy when you take them out. On the new sealed record there are 3 long audible scratches on track 1 of the first record. 2 across, one 5 cm along the grooves. No quality control - and that at these prices!

Some fucking joker is trying to sell this for $150 here…
