Just bought an original UK cd release and was surprised when I opened it to find a white with black text CD label instead of the usual black with white text like all other pressings I've seen. Not a promo, and not a reissue as the matrix info matches the UK 1st edition. Anyone else have a copy like this? Any info would be appreciated. -

Exquisite pressing. Probably my favorite album by them. Classic material. -

A masterpiece from a golden age of electronic music. As brilliant today as it was when I first heard it in 1994. -

I'm gonna play this album the next time I'm hopping galaxies in my starship, or doing laundry. It's very fitting that the record label is Warp.

Absolute top tier sounding album on this pressing. The best way to listen to this album IMO. -

2LP repress had pressing issues. First copy had warped disc C/D, returned and was given another warped disc C/D. The replacement copy was shipped in from distributor so all I can think is that there was a batch production issue? Other than that disappointment…. The pressing sounds great on side A/B. Absolutely crushed I can’t get a copy where both discs are flat…. -

Takes me to a different place. Discs are flat and centered and they play clean. Very nice soundstage.

Beautiful gem of a record. 11 tracks rendering lush wide ambient techno soundscapes in a beautifully austere way. 'Montreal' is a real doozy on the first side of the record jumping headfirst into vast spaces evocative of the album art. On the flip 'Slip'& 'Agile' are taut, snappy cuts with a momentum that wears the electro influences of it's makers on it's sleeve - almost a love letter from the industrial landscapes of Sheffield to the sounds articulated by Drexciya around the same time. 'Piezo' ascending pads ooze a late-night romanticism rarely bettered since it's release. The segue from the sleepy pads of 'Yulquen' into the cascade of 'Nil' is gorgeous, before the album concludes with the crunchy and agitated 'Teartear', hinting at the colder and more cybernetic sonic textures to arrive with the release of 'Tri Repeatae'. It has been said many times before but this record is for sure a landmark in electronic music and a must-listen for fans of brain-dancing refractions of techno and ambient music.
