Bob Marley And The Wailers* – Live! At The Lyceum

Compared to the 2015 Remastered and also the Half Speed Studio albums versions, this falls quite behind when it comes to sound quality. Still a great album but Babylon by Bus transports the energy a bit better.

Does anyone know why photographer Dennis Morris was left out of the photo credits on the sleeve on this and some other issues; the photos are clearly by him?

This is a 5 Star record if there ever was one. Too bad it wasn't a double set. Get the video too.

One of my favorite live albums in any genre, and as with most roots reggae, to my ears, it simply sounds better on vinyl. This might not be the best version out there, but it sounds great to me, it's all analogue, and it's got a deeper, fuller, purer sound than any of the CD versions I've heard. No issues with this pressing, there's plenty of low end, crisp percussion, warm, rich vocals, and a spacious, intimate soundstage. My copy plays with a couple of light pops towards the end of "Lively Up Yourself", otherwise it's clean and quiet with almost no surface noise at all. Good stuff.

I collect a lot of live performances. In of historical music events this in my top ten. The recording itself is remarkable. Its captures the the crowd interaction with the immaculate players in the band, and Bob, the legend at the height of his powers. The 1975 release on one album tells you all that. the hype sticker on the front cover is a real tiny sticker and not a graphic copy of the original lp sleeve , that level of details is incredible

this 8 track sounds so good. i got an old but pretty great copy for a good price - it needed some new pads - which I replaced, and then the splice broke after the first minute of play.. but i repaired it quickly after hearing a little bit of "get up, stand up" -
i'm definitely hearing lots of new stuff on this format (crowd seems higher in the mix & the hand claps and vocals by the i-threes and other various sounds i never noticed on the vinyl.)

I’m no expert, but this sounds excellent to me. So good, that I’m tempted to just sell my 75th Anniversary.

I need a good copy. My vinyl is very warped. The music is fantastic! Great mastering and recording this live.

My copy sounds great, without any disturbing noises. Warped issue, yes, which i solved with my VinylFlat (easy !!). i would recommend this version for sure. Mine is #0838.
