Rhein-Main Schallplatten-Produktion GmbH

Profile:

CBS 's 7" pressing plant, located in Ober-Erlenbach / Bad Homburg, near Frankfurt/Main. Operating under this name between 1965 and 1985.
Originally established end of 1962 by RM-Schallplattenpresswerk GmbH.

Also credited as:
- Rhein-Main Schallplatten
- Rhein-Main-Schallplatten
- Rhein-Main-Schallplattenproduktion GmbH

This plant only pressed 7"s from the German CBS and related labels.
The records have characteristic runouts: hand etched nnnn-A- / nnnn-B- (often in combination with SST). On the paper labels, they feature a Made in at six o'clock, GEMA at 3 o'clock, and a German copyright ring text.

Not to be confused with Dutch CBS pressings with BIEM/STEMRA, that have a stamped xx_nnnn_yA_I/_yB_I in the runouts. Additionally, they often feature a "NL", "01" or both in the runouts.
CBS 12"s and LPs were never pressed by this plant but by different plants in and, from 1970 on, usually by CBS, Holland.

Please note:
German releases from Rhein-Main Schallplatten-Produktion GmbH and the lacquer/plating/metal work was most likely (but not necessarily) made by Sonopress. Therefore, please credit additionally 'Lacquer Cut At / Mastered At' - Sonopress.
