Vinagrrr edited over 9 years ago
Hey Guys,
Since I didn't saw any topics on this place I decided to create one. Not from the city but been there a couple times.
All shops that I've visited so far are located near one another, which is good but I feel like I'm loosing the holy grail of records somewhere else... Anyways here are the record shops I know and have bought records over the last year or so.
I think I will go there later this year so will seek other places to dig some of those good rare Italian ts.
Oblomova concept Shop - https://www.facebook.com/oblomova - Via S.Sebastiano 20
It's a vintage sort of shop downstairs so get in, forget the clothing and go upstairs where you can check like a good amount of everything all sorts and you can find nice records, all styles, some original presses, etc.
Price is a bit on the expensive, bought a few new ones for 25€ but you can find interesting stuff on the 5 and 10€ bin section. Staff is nice!
Rignelli - Via San Biagio dei Librai 68
Good amount of 7"s nice collection of Italian Lps but ask the guy for something particular. I was looking for something Italian from the 70s and he took me to the warehouse on the second floor and yeah... he has like 5 copies of everything so you can even choose which one is better.
Negotiate over here for sure!
Tattoo Records - Piazzetta Nilo 15
Went for Italian Rock and Jazz as I heard it was probably the one that had more and yes, nice collection and for me the best prices. Got a couple of Goblin records for 25€ both, after saw one of the records for the same price I paid for one.
The collection is vast and I would say is mostly US jazz and soul, lots of Italian from the 60s till now, 90% is like second hand. -

bro for those genre you gotta go to Latin America,
Southern Italian second hand stores (even in the north) will likely have 'Neapolitan neomelodic' records on the top of everything else, classic italian pop music and some disco mainstream records as well as loads of classical records.
Thrift stores are everywhere and nobody online will tell you where to find rare stuff.. so when in Naples, ask the locals who will always be happy to help.
Of course it is also the case that you might find rare records or funk/afro/balearic/disco records but not that often. -

thank you both.... ya i get ya on the rare stuff but i'm happy just to find some shops or markets and just see what's in there.
I have done some research and come up with this on a flea market which seems to be near where we might be staying... even if i don't come up with anything it will be a good experience to have a walk around!
"If your time allows catch a Sunday morning train from Dante to Bagnoli and take a stroll to via Raffaele Ruggiero 1 (around an hour in total) to spend a few hours bartering with the local collectors.

The market is only held on Sundays in an area adjacent to the Agnano racecourse from 6am to 2pm.
Market at the Agnano Hippodrome
The market for second-hand goods and crafts at the Agnano racetrack is a typical one flea market where you can always find different objects.
It is located in the outdoor area of the sports facility and there are more than 200 stands with products of antiques, crafts and electronics, used clothes, old musical instruments, bicycles, costume jewelery, knick-knacks, vinyl records and everything stand owners can offer from time to time.
It's open only on Sunday mornings from 6.00 to about 14.00"
