Hi everybody,
It's been a long time since I posted a mix here, but I'm really enjoying this one, so thought I'd share :)
It's techno and house - lots of Chicago, Ghetto and Detroit stuff, pretty much all 90s I think with the exception for a tune from the latest Scan 7. Some absolutely amazing tunes in here, I hope I've managed to frame them in the way they deserve! One 2s blunder in 90 mins, but the rest is pretty good so I won't be too hard on myself ;-)
All vinyl. Technics 1210s and a Xone '92.

Much appreciated, DaveKnights, hope you like it.
Yes, I was gutted to hear about DJ Funk. I did this mix a few days before I heard the news and coincidentally, it's got three of his tunes in there. But perhaps not so coincidentally, because his tunes are still fire and difficult to resist after all these years! RIP DJ Funk. -

My deck had to go in for a service and I needed an alternative creative outlet so I had a play with an idea that was on my mind to add visuals to my mixes so I can post them to YouTube. I wanted to go for a damaged VHS kind of vibe similar to how I've seen on lots of Instagram posts showing records. I know there are probably loads of tools to sequence this stuff already, but since I'm a coder, I wanted to have a play with image processing at the code level too and came up with this.

The images are just the label images of all the tracks from discogs, but I think the cool thing is that I got my code to sequence the right images with the right tracks and to also honour that during the transitions too. Anyways, very nerdy, but it was a fun project. Hope you like it :)
