Jonathan Bias or Byas (Real Name) AKA Jazzy Jay
Jazzy is often not credited for stuff. For instance he's Cut Creater for LL Cool J. Probably on this occasion Jay was making a name for himself and probably didn't want to be credited as just being Cool J's DJ.

The drum programming on this record is amazing. Does any one know who did it? Jonathan Bias did all the beats?

Edited 5 years agoWhen this record first came out i went to Bluebird records in London United Kingdom and asked the shop owner to play the "B" side "Cold Chillin' In The Spot" and the whole place went crazy, The customers started dancing and partying, YOU HAD TO SEE WHAT I AM SAYING. "SHOUTING SCREAMING AND DANCING FOR THIS ONE RECORD", I think i left with only one copy but i made sure i had at least two copy's later. . But i will never forget this event it was that amazing the change that this one record did.

the song "cold chillin' in the spot" features a very drunk russell simmons tlaking about himself and his production company.
