Edited one year agoAnother great entry in the Jack Trax series, and one that I'd recommend to any fan of Chicago House & Acid House. There are some fantastic tracks here that weren't released anywhere else on CD or 12".
It's worth noting that a handful of the tracks (3, 5 and 9) appear to be sourced from vinyl, but don't let that put you off.
As well as being ripped from vinyl, track 5 - L N R – Work It To The Bone (Vocal Mix), also has a lot of 'background noise' throughout the full length of the track that was not on the original vinyl release. The noise sounds exactly like high speed dubbing cassettes back in the day, which I suspect is what it is. Strange!
Track 4, Victor Romeo & The Move - I Want Your Love, is edited and fades out, losing a good minute or so of the track. It's a shame, because the missing last minute is good and introduces a new melody not heard in the first 5 minutes - you can just hear the first few notes of it at 5:03 as the track fades out. -
Best of the Jack Trax compilations imo,
Some unrealesed stuff by "One On One Crew" and 20 Below is a killer cut!
