Terrible mastering and distortion on this album. All Oasis albums pre 200 have this problem.

I was sceptical about this pressing after reading so many negative reviews but to my surprise this pressing in my opinion sounds slightly better than the DM & WTSMG reissues, all 3 reissues aren’t the best sounding records you will ever hear, but we know early oasis albums were never that in the first place. As is with any criticism, buy a copy and judge it for yourself. I enjoyed it, it did the job.

The worst sounding record I’ve ever heard, even more brick walled than the cd. Completely unlistenable.

Not only that but I got two Lp 1's and as I hadn’t played it for a while after receiving it was too late to send it back.

I don’t know if the original press it better but this one is terrible.

I turned them into bowls in the oven.

          Rubbish.

This album was no sonic wonder in the first place but this pressing made matters worse, somehow. Super muddy mix, no channel separation, just a big muffled wall of noise with the drums buried in the mix. This cut leaves plenty to be desired, but I'm not sure the source material will allow much better tbh.

Has anyone clocked this one with the following matrix stamps: A1 JD (etched) 01087872-A-1 3, 01087972-B-1 1, 01088016-C-1 1, 01088016-D-1 1? Same release number though (RKIDLP85) (P) + (C) 2016 Big Brother Recordings Ltd. No code or sticker. Is this a re-issue of the remaster? Does not sound as being described here, sounds nice and big, I found the sound bigger than the 2014 remasters of Definitely Maybe and WTSMG. Obviously they used different plates (hence different matrix numbers.)

I bought this first and the sound did not sound right. I recently picked up the 2009 repress not remastered. Totally different sound. The 2009 version blows the mess that is the remaster out of the water. I gave this version away free as ill never listen to it again but the 2009 repress will get regular spins.

It sounds terrible. I thought that my phono amp (Aesthetix Rhea Tube Phonoamp) had some burned out tubes.
The sound is muffled. No details, no clarity.
I played this record on a SOTA Sapphire with an SME 3010r and Zu Denon DL103-r. I tried an other pair of speakers (Klipsh rf7-III who are notoriously high pitched) to no avail.
I will never play this record again as I would get a better sound quality from Spotify ;)

The comments are right, the sound is terrible. It concentrates on the mid frequencies, it has no definition of treble or bass. It's a pity that this album doesn't have a good vinyl reissue. I don't usually like remastered albums but this is the first time I've listened to one where the sound is worse in everything. If you just want the record to have it on the shelf and see the big cover, buy it.
