Based on the brilliance of the cover art, I bought this album at Rough Trade London in 2000. Got home, put the needle on the record and was immersed. The music turned out to be even better than the sleeve. Still one of my favourite albums of all time.

Has anyone else ever noticed the similarities between 'The Cedar Room' and Aphex Twin's 'Girl/Boy Song'?

Fantastic album. I have a fully signed version (by whole band) of the first pressing in mint condition. Anyone like to speculate what that might go for on Bargain Hunt?

The unavailability of this (and the rest of the Doves discography) on vinyl is a gaping hole in the music world.

Picture this .. one sunny Saturday morning in early spring of 2000, in the morning before 8am , watching mtv2 catch the sun comes on ... ... I’m transfixed holding my toast staring at the tv , WOW who or what is this band .
I have to find out everything about these straight away . Pre internet really .
One of my favourite albums of all time .
AMAZING. -
Every Doves record deserves to have a Remaster/Reissue. Specially this one.
Prices for this album makes me cry.
