I got a very clean copy, very cheap. and have to say this is pretty great. My collection is about 90% audiophile AAA, mastered from tapes etc and this 'budget' pressing has the dynamics, rich tone to compete with any of them. We don't know the source, but very analogue sounding.
-
Side A plays clean. Side B has some infrequent crackle on one track and two quick zips of no-fill distortion on another. Sounds really good overall despite these minor issues. Pressed at MPO.
-
Got this for 11 euros delivered to Ireland from Zavvi, fantastic pressing and mastering on this, also no surface noise. As good sounding as 75% of my 50 euro plus costing "audiophile" reissues to be honest.
My gear: Modded Technics Sl 1210 mk2 with silicone tonearm damper, at oc9xml cart, Parks Audio Puffin preamp,Denon Pma-800ne amp, Dali Oberon 5 speakers -
Sounds wonderful to me! No pressing defects here. If you're sitting on the fence don't hesitate to grab this DeAgostini pressing which is very reasonably priced.

This pressing is a very mixed bag. Most ages sound great and have no surface noise. But in a few places, pressing defects make for very audible and distracting noise and distorted “farts”. I would not recommend this issue.

These jazz at 33 & 1/3rd reissues are fantastic value for money. Highly recommended. Decent sound quality, decent pressings, what’s not to like?
-
Fantastic issue of this absolute classic! Sound is very very close to my original Canadian 2 Eye stereo. I know not a US 6 eye but still a stellar sounding LP!
