Edited 8 years agoI have 2 other "Come On" versions contained on full-lengh CD's; both live recordings...Every version slightly different & each one sounding absolutely phenominal!! Jesus & Mary Chain prove out my theory that a truly astounding band sounds even better live! I just had to get this because of their cover of The Cramps "New Kind Of Kick" which is So, So, Soooo Much Better than the original!!! Love the heavy guitar reverb in middle of song! JAMC prove, once again, how ahead of their time they are on this version of "Come On". Toward the end, I don't know the "technical" term for it, but it sounds as though the guitar's being played backward for a few bars. (At least a decade after this, Death in Vegas did this on their song, "Scorpio Rising" with Liam Gallagher, of Oasis fame & notoriety, doing one of his best vocals ever. It is almost an exact copy of Status Quo's "Pictures of Matchstick Men"). So many owe so much to JAMC's creativity & musical brilliance!
