Edited 5 days agoThe movie samples on the opening track "Vigilante" and the title track are from "Falling Down".

A big change from Tactical Neural Implant, to my ears this album in line with Neue Deutsche Härte, the switch from Third Mind to Roadrunner was substantial sound wise.
-
No idea why people dislike this album. Sure it has sampled guitars, but the songs are tremendous. Easily in the top 3 of their all time best (Hard Wired, Implode, Millennium).

I loved this album back in high school but it hasn't aged well and these lyrics are unintentionally hilarious. kudos to FLA for putting them in the booklet, click 'more images' up top

5/5
I never understood why so many people hated this album. Yeah, there are guitars in it and lead to the bands departure from their earlier stuff, but when I first got this album, I listened to it non-stop for weeks. Every track was a great song. Yep, it doesn't sound like Tactical Neural Implant (my other favourite album of theirs), but it's still mixed really well. -
This may not be the best FLA album, but I wouldn't say its bad. This one is for the rivet heads, heavy guitar based industrial for fans of Fear Factory, 16 volt, Chemlab and the like. Lots of layers and Bill Leeb's apocalyptic manifesto running deep on this one. The only track I don't like is Victim of a Criminal, rap and industrial don't really mix. Otherwise it's a great album by FLA.

Edited 2 years agoFront Line Assembly try to cash in on NiN's success by tearing up the guitars, with poor result.
