my stylus doesnt let any noise by without sounding the alarm and this is pretty much silent, definitely no worse than the majority of new records i buy. this album is so popular that there are probably more minecraft fans playing it than turntable fans. i honestly think the people complaining about the noise probably do not know how to clean their records.

very noisy record. pretty big pop on the first track due to some sort of gunk I cant get off. I don't really mind the static. I think it adds to the aesthetic but this pressing isn't super good.
-
As the other people here said, the disc is indeed pretty noisy and very static. But overall, the sound quality/details was superb, and the vibe still gets me.

I have about 150 records and this by far my worst pressing. "Cat" plays pretty well, but the more lush arrangements on every other song have a ton of loud, obtrusive surface noise. I kept my copy because it sounds hillariously bad and it's funny to play for guests.
-
At least for me, I'm not experiencing any issues with the pressing. There's a tiny bit of surface noise but it's more charming than anything, a small crackle. No clicks or pops on any of the tracks and the mastering sounds amazing. Maybe I just got lucky, but this record is amazing

Edited one year agoAwful pressing. All over the place with sound and a scratch across the new record. Then there is the constant noise and static through out. Even after a decent ultrasonic clean it’s unlistenable. Utterly awful. AVOID.
-
A little noisy (background noise), and many tracks are missing. Still a great collector's item, but if you're actually looking to listen to it, get the CD instead.
-
I don't know if it's because of bad quality but my vinyl arrived and when I played it the sound cracked I did everything to try to remove it but impossible, how a new vinyl can he crack so much? we even hear the music so much it's loud... I'm a little disappointed because minecraft is all my childhood...

Either I got lucky with my pressing or the surface noise just isn't as bad as some people here are saying it is...it's got a bit of surface noise and Subwoofer Lullaby has some annoying popping noises at the start, but it's not unlistenable.
-
Mastering is quite good in my opinion, but my side A is very noisy all throughout. Kind of a strange pressing this is. I don't understand why they would cut out half of the tracks when they could've just put the whole album on two discs. For $30, I would expect more
