Notes
With obi and 4 page lyric / info sheet. The track lengths on Side 1 are the same as the original non-remixed edition. Rio became successful in the US from the dance versions of their tracks that were mixed by David Kershenbaum. The band reissued the album with Side 1 re-mixed with Kershenbaum. This Japan release maintains the original versions.

This pressing is warm and punchy without sacrificing detail. Zero sibilance throughout LeBon's often highly overdubbed vocals. I can now hear many qualities I did not know Rio possessed since I was 10!
So grateful for Japanese pressings and especially for Rio. Like others have mentioned here, this pressing contains the original UK versions. -
Edited 2 years agoEverything looks the exactly the same on mine except can't see the matrix: Side A: EMC-3411-A 1S 43 - 〄 4-8; Side B: EMC-3411-A 1S 〄. Any one have the same? Sounds phenomenal though.

Fantastic pressing of Rio. Includes the original UK mixes. Quiet vinyl. Dynamics and separation are superb. Bass is lush and deep and highs are detailed. The synths float above the mix. Just lovely. I think this has become my favorite pressing of this classic album.

Great pressing, but I don't know which are best. This one is strong in bass yet even across the spectrum. Deep gloss vinyl.

I love this pressing - songs are punchy, detailed. Just really enjoy putting this on. Question for DD experts, what is the ultimate vinyl pressing to own for this album? Where does this one rank?
