I dare you to find me a record that sounds better than this. You probably can, but I’m sure it would take some time. This is pure perfection on wax, almost as if every part of this recording process from the studio to the vinyl was blessed by some divine spirit… ok ok I’m getting ahead of myself but it really is that good you have to hear it to believe it.

I have this pressing too and can also confirm it sounds amazing! Really clean and does justice to the incredible music across both sides of the record. You need this one in your collection if you like anything Cocteau related! It will be one of the best records you will ever own :)

One of the best sounding pressings of a record I own. Just lovely. And it’s cheap so get yer arse in gear and get one. Thank me later…. :)
Bought mine from Beggars Banquet in Kingston U.K. on release, came with a poster.

I got mine today from Rough Trade West in London and the same Side One first track and then throughout the rest with lots of noise and some distortion...

This is in my top 10 albums of all time, and my favorite from the Cocteau Twins. Put on a good pair of headphones, close the curtains, maybe light a few candles, lie down somewhere comfortable, and be prepared to drift off into another universe. It's some of the most genuinely "psychedelic" music ever recorded, at once alien and familiar; it's just as cold and crystalline as the album's name and artwork suggest, but will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy. It's just a perfect record from a band who were at the top of their game when it came out. They released Victorialand, Love's Easy Tears, and the Moon and the Melodies all in the same year! I hope I live long enough to see another band come along who are as prolific, consistently good, and just utterly SINGULAR in every sense of the word as the Cocteau Twins were.
