This album is such a classic. This is one of my favourite albums from Linkin Park. My favourite songs on this has to be One Step Closer but I really like Crawling, Papercut, Points Of Authority, In The End & With You. But all of them are the best. Highly recommend

This is Linkin Park in their prime. "Hybrid Theory" still sounds as fresh as in 2000.
If you make guess "Cure For The Itch" to an avid metal enthusiast, he won't necessarily think that Linkin Park actually wrote this choon. It is phe-no-me-nal. The scratching is awesome, the beats are booming, the piano notes leaves you looked and the threatening background samples make a gorgeous ensemble. Thank you Mr. Hahn for this piece of beauty.
Otherwise, all the nu metal tunes are mental. The wide range of Chester's vocals is incredible and Shinoda's rapping is well fitted with the loud guitars. Moreover, most of the lyrics are meaningful, sometimes very powerful.
For example, the way Chester yells "S*** UP WHEN I'M TALKIN' TO YOU !" is very realistic.
Other lines that I love are :
"Cover up your face; you can't run the race. The pace is too fast you just won't last." (Points of Authority)
"It’s true, the way I feel was promised by your face. The sound of your voice painted on my memories, even if you’re not with me, I’m with you" (With You"
I also have to point how nostalgic the intro of "Crawling" sounds. Another superb intro is the soothing, industrial-ish one of "Runaway".
I never see the 38 minutes flying by when I play this CD. Thousands of teenagers including me grew up keeping memories from this album that is also very known here in .
Thank you Linkin Park. -
Overrated Debut of LINKIN PARK
FAITH NO MORE made this kind of music in the late 80s ! But not with that success !
however 3 good songs and more weak songs is not good -
Very impressive. Simply love it. I am always amazed how much enthusiasm you people carry in every album
-

If you loved Linkinpark since they came out, you need this album , it's all their best on one album
Meteora got 1-2 good numbers too, but it is HT you need to own
Bring back the good times !
No remaster nastiness on this one either. Remasters kill music.
This one is perfect from start to end. No fill tracks either I could spot in first listening. A sign of a good record, you automatically put on repeat. -
