Edited 18 years agoFuncrusher Plus is probably THE definitive underground hip-hop album. Company Flow's groundbreaking style and blatant opposal to the mainstream was (and still is) a refreshing change from the manufactured hip-hop acts of pop culture. The production is dense, futuristic and dark, and the lyricism of El-P and Bigg Jus is amazing. It's unfortunate that artists like Company Flow went almost unheard of - albums like this demonstrate the way hip-hop should truly be.
