Alberich – NATO-Uniformen

This used to be really cheap. Not only does it go hard, I knew it wouldn't be cheap forever. Picked up mine circa 2015.

This album, "NATO-uniformen" by Alberich (who has worked closely with Domenick Fernow aka Prurient) is the ultimate, in my own opinion heavy power elctronics album. From the very start you are compacted and compressed by the massive weight of sound bludgeoning toward you in a hurling rage. This 19 track slimmed down version (originally released on 8 cassette box set spanning close to 4 hours of content) will span you over a good hour of heart pounding synth and crushing drone that is as brand new as it is out of its sleeve every time you listen. I feel very fortunate to own this piece of art and history that with so little words can still be so profound and emotional. If you are a fan of Prurient, Throbbing Gristle, The Haxan Cloak, noise post industrial period, do your soul a favor and absorb this masterpiece. Absolute Solid Gold.

Great stuff, but a bit of a bummer that every track on here with the exception of two are edited down to three minutes. Still worth having on vinyl, but be aware that the majority of these are heavily edited down. I realize you can only fit so much music on a side of vinyl, but I would have rather had a few full versions spread over three pieces of wax.
