This version is indeed Remastered. My copy (as well as all my other "Warner Music Canada Ltd" Metallica releases from '83-'88) come with a small silver sticker w/ the following bilingual arranged text (in black):

    |------------------------------------|
    |
    | Digitally remastered from
    | the original master tapes
    |
    |------------------------------------|
    |
    | Nouvelle gravure numérique
    | faite à partir des bandes
    | maîtresses originales
    |
    |------------------------------------|

I have friends who also have these Canadian versions w/ their stickers. Furthermore, we all agree; they are much louder & clearer than the original masters, as stated here. Side-by-side comparisons having been made using two CD players. I can provide an image of the sticker in question if need be.
