I knew this band cause of my parents. They were extremely mainstream weekend hippies, but somehow they stumbled into Fever Tree as their one flirt with indie bands in 1970. Growing up as a boy, songs like Unlock My Door and Filigree put in my head the first impressions of some Shelly-esque overgrown garden full of old statues, beauty, peace, romance... but also a haunting ghostly presence. It help set up for a suburban SoCal boy a future love for all things gothic and mythical. Amazing that im not alone as Filigree & Shadow would become the name of grand art goths This Mortal Coil's second album. There is nothing to compare to the first Fever Tree album.
