Gotta echo the comments here. This is a brilliant press. Only heard this on CD before but this press is waaaaay better.
No pops, clicks, background noise, sibilance….it was even really clean. Big old slab of wax too!
If I could score this out of 100 it would be over 95. -

Edited 2 years agoToday I went to look for the last copy that was left, (I've been trying to get one for a long time), a bit fearful, I read some negative comments and I know of failures in the pressing, fortunately this copy is very good, forceful bass, brilliant highs, virtually no hiss, records are very flat and clean. The interiors are too tight, I will replace them with an antistatic cover that I have saved.

Sounds brilliant. No sibilance issue. Very beatiful. Bought a long time ago, today I just took it out of the pack and listened. Just Wow.

I got a copy today from King's Road. Thankfully no issues to report, so I'm assuming they did fix the packaging flaws, and actually I think it's one of the best sounding pressings I own. The sound is absolutely brilliant.

Edited 8 years agoI was really really exicited to see this record remastered and repressed, and such available for my collection.
I was a CD collector the first time round, and such was really happy to have a solid copy the second time round.... but alas it wasn't to be.
My copy, and everyone subsequently checked, had a God aweful hump in it (in both records), to the point where you know that the needle cannot be having an easy time, and you can hear the tracking effects in the groove....
Upon investigation this transpired to be a well documented issue with this album, and ironically the original pressing.
It has been suggested that the sleeves were cut slightly too tight for the records (there's two) in the first pressing, and such it has been suggested that this mistake was replocated in the reissue due to a lack of ability.
Bloody doughnuts!
So I do not have a copy, and I am very very sad.............
