is it only me, or is this thing totally inspired by the character of Bob, the evil spirit living inside Leland Palmer throughout the second season of Twin Peaks?

From the ridiculously twisted, evil and funny as fuck title track to music that you can play to your newborn child, this motherfucking 12" does it all. Did I mention the CTD remixes are safe as fuck too? They are. Total score: 10 out of 10 Bouncing Bollocks.

I heard Bucephalus Bouncing Ball on the my cd for the soundtrack for the movie π. I am now really into IDM music

Edited 15 years agoIt was the titular song that gave me the early impression Aphex Twin was a seriously disturbed individual (no doubt perpetuated by the accompanying music video). Delving further into the CD however will reveal some audio delights. I was expecting more tracks in a similar vein to the first, however, to my surprise the song that immediately follows the single is the complete opposite in of style! Slower, softer and more melodic. At only four songs it's still a great sample of Aphex Twin's musical flexibility.

Edited 17 years agoOne of the best Aphex Twin listens out there. A great introduction to his glitch-style-humor-drum-n'-bass. Come To Daddy is an obvious classic and I can't listen to it now without seeing the video images...arghhhh. Flim is a great short track with excellent textured notes. Buscephalus Bouncing Ball is RDJ having fun with glitch drums and tinkles, wicked stuff. The Come To Daddy remix on this single isn't so hot but as a whole this release it well worth it.
