Edited one year agoTotally agree with all the reviewers. I knew it was a good sign when I saw the delta sign and the handwritten matrices. This seems to have been a Monarch pressing to all intents and purposes if that's anything to go by (Monarch was bought by Viewlex and renamed Electrosound Group Midwest for a while, acc. to Discogs).

The sound is incredible. Thanks to the translucent brown super vinyl. It’s so cristal clear. I can’t believe that someone thought it should be less then 5/5. For me it’s AAA

Sound is amazing, I love buying audiophile specific pressings, but what I love even more than that is find that audiophile sound without the audiophile pressing price. If someone told me this pressing cost 50 or 60 bucks I would agree that seems fair, BUT this record is 10 bucks. Great buy and sound

I mean wow. Like wow. Just listened to this record for the first time and was not expecting the clarity and mixing of this album/pressing. This was my first time listening to Suzanne and the mixing itself sold me. Bravo Shelly Yakus at A&M for the mixing and bravo Stephen Marcussen at Precision Lacquers L.A. for the Direct Metal Master for this press. (Names were found on the inner sleeve credit text.)

Mine is a translucent brown vinyl, like my copy of Suzanne's S/T. It sounds phenomenal. Superb music too. Crystal clear vocals, lots of punch, and a really nice depth and clarity. Great dynamics too. I concur with everyone else on here- this really is an audiophile press.

This is my go-to album to test my equipment. If i change out my stylus or move my speakers around or get a new receiver/amp, whatever, I put this on. The quality of the vinyl is nearly flawless and the recording is amazing. Very clear vocals with no backing instruments on Tom's Diner followed a very dynamic full band and even an instrumental at the end. My copy even has a tiny flaw that will let me no if my anti-skate is out of wack because it'll skip. The song writing is genius and, I'll it, heart-breaking at times. I love this album for so my reasons!

Not heard any other pressing of this record, but damn, this is a really great pressing. Excellent dynamics.
