Edited 2 years agoThis record was a staple in the Sydney Rave scene in 1993, we fell in love with Dutch Gabber very early on here. However in the same era 1993 Melbourne took the Techno route in their rave scene that's why we have 2 very different dancing style in those cities ! Sydney were the Hakken Gabbers & Melbourne were the Techno Shufflers, hence the famous Melbourne Shuffle. Some Aussie Rave history for or you there, the 2 cities raved to 2 completely different genres in the same era, weird right !

A1: These Amiga dudes had a very excellent idea to use the Morrison sample from 'A Little Game', which is part of 'The Celebration Of The Lizard'. It's actually two samples put together. First "Back in my brain", then "called Go insane".
The music itself is Hardcore, no surprise, the main synth sounds almost like a machine trying to get started, and the vocal samples on the opposite sound chilled, almost in a daze. It's a contrast that creates a special feeling. Especially live this track was amazing.
Another favorite is A3 - 'In Your Head'. An excellent 200 BPM track with a very nice intro and driving hardcore beats.
The other tracks as well on a high level, for me one of the Top 5 records of early Rotterdam for sure. Oh, and 'Zagen' is a fun little track to end it. So innocent and brutal at the same time, lol. -

A real piece of classic hardcore. I hateThe Doors and Jim Morrisson but i make an exception for the sample on the track Back In My Brain, fucking mental as said before !

Leave your brain at the door and go fucking mental for this one.
First port of call should be Last Recall. Let those snares give you an idea of what to expect.
Yep, it's 1991 Belgian Techno shoved right up the ass, Gabber style.
Feeling sick?
Skip over to Mikey.
This is not music to understand.
This is release.
