Two loud ticks within the first 5 minutes of my copy. Plus mild surface noise on and off throughout. Will try for a replacement I guess.
-
This is a significant upgrade on the Sony Legacy/MOV issues ive had... increased bass presence, richer mids and silkier uppers. The pressing is super quiet too but so were the others. Add the better packaging and we have a winner.
Im no MoFi fanboy but when they get it right they get it very right! -
If you want a fabulous sounding reissue of this LP look no further than the first CBS digital remaster from 1987. Will likely cost half the price too.

Edited 6 months agoThe discogs prices don't make sense, you can buy this album on acousticsounds.com for $39 brand new. Which I did and yes it sounds amazing.!
-
Can someone explain why anyone would pay more than $39.99 for this when it’s sitting on the MoFi website? $100+ for near mint? Are sellers high?

Edited 5 months agoSounds excellent. There is no annoying noise on the last part of Side 2, which presents in digital version and recent release on white vinyl. So I guess MoFi has managed it.
Some light ticks here and there, mostly quiet surface. Not a gatefold too bad. Otherwise great. -
Edited one year agoMy copy from the original pressing #3384 is so quiet. Never heard a record sound so three dimensional. Thinking of upgrading from the Hana ML to Hana Unami Blue to hear this at its best. Absolutely superb.

Edited one year agoJust received my copy and comparing to my 2019 white copy IMO there is very little difference but still worth it if you can get it for under 60$!!! #12374
