Powerful sounding vinyl, side A is incredible! The sound is simply incredible! Great clarity, warm sounding, with a great punch! Incredibly dynamic. You won't be disappointed. Test played a mint copy. -
Edited one month agoWithout a doubt, one of the best A sides of all time. Soulful but powerful also. Pure genius from U2, with great tunes on the B side also that are not on the Joshua Tree album.
This record has the iconic Island Records palm tree logo on the paper labels. It just looks awesome on the turntable, cool and iconic and combined with the experience of one of the unique and distinctive tunes of all time, blasting out of your speakers, well it's just intoxicating and as good as life gets.
A moody cover with The Edge carefully contemplating something down on the ground, expertly sets the tone and adds to the the excellence, as it suits the music perfectly.
I'm assuming that you know U2 if your reading this, however just in case you haven't, this is a great place to start and the good news is you have a treasure trove of a glorious back catalogue to dig into, but all in good time, this is as good a start as any to build up your U2 vinyl collection.
If your a seasoned U2 veteran you will enjoy the extended version of the top side, and the kinda rare cuts on the flip side.
This is essential stuff, don't hesitate, this is as good as music gets. A masterpiece that is both timeless and universal, and will also serve as an awesome companion to the Joshua Tree, which is one of the best records ever recorded on our planet.
