Been wanting this copy for a long time. Managed to snag a NM/NM copy for a moderate price and I’m glad I did. This is the best this album has ever sounded. Explosive and dynamic. If you find it SNAG IT.

Edited 7 months agoI have the 2022 version mastered Howie Weinberg to compare this with. I’ll tell you’ll the difference between the two:
1. Price - this costs three times ofcourse but is it 3 times better? In of sound quality may not be (it’s better but may not be three times better); however, the quality of the pressing is better. The other one is pressed horribly with scratches, scuffs etc which makes the last two songs on both sides unlistenable. The quality of the pressing of this one, however, is amazing, as one would expect from Pallas
2. The sound of this version is more rougher, like a proper grunge album! Slightly wider soundstage, more punch in the drums. My wife described this one as akin to listening to Nirvana in concert and other one listening to them on a very good sound system. She articulates well!
3. It seems this was done from the original analogue master tapes. Dare I say it sounds more “analogue”? I guess so.
I understand that the analogue tapes were destroyed in a fire so they won’t be able to spin the tapes again to create new lathe. Therefore, compared to the price of the first pressing (which is I guess over 1000 dollars), this one in NM condition for about a 100 bucks is quite a steal! -
The EU pressing uses the same lacquers as cut by BG and pressed at Pallas sounds amazing and is less than a third of the price of the US pressing.

This is it. The one to own 100%.
I have never ever heard a pressing of this album that even comes close to how good this one sounds. Bernie Grundman did a fantastic job! A+++ -

Amazing sounding record! I had no idea the price had skyrocketed so much! Now I got to take extra care of it!

Okay, I think this is the copy I have, however it’s Blue Vinyl! The cover barcode is correct as is the matrix runout. If this was also released in Blue Vinyl, shouldn’t it be a separate release? I copy and pasted the page from the notes above, and it brings me back to this page. So does anyone else have this in Blue vinyl ?
