Edited 12 months agoI have owned several copies of this album, and just acquired a US RL pressing recently.
Well, I realize that despite all these experiences, I think it's still this Australian version that I prefer; the American one sounds perhaps louder, more liberated and maybe a little cleaner, but there is something in the sound of this pressing that makes me move madly, which is less the case with the other versions I was able to listen, and even many ones of other Rock albums. The Aussie engineer who did this job is a genius.
I consider that my quest about this album is now over. -
Edited one year agoI have a copy that has an embossed logo and album title matte cover, fold-out inside sheet on thin card with pictures and credits, the labels are red with yellow strobe marks.

Sound quality is excellent, loud and punchy. Highly recommended. -
Edited one year agoI appear to have a 1st run yellow on red label and the inner fold out sleeve. You never know over the years though, as people swap things around. The sound is just absolutely glorious. Other reviewers here are right, this is a must own. The guitars ring out and the mix is absolutely perfect and kick drum as Hell's Bells comes in just hits you in the chest.

Kilker pressing and a must own for ACDC fans imo, I reckon I have the cleanest copy on the planet, not a hint of ringwear on this black cover which is extremely rare, and the vinyl is flawless

Hello. I'm looking for a 180g release with three tracks without vocals or tell me the matrix of numbers.

Awesome pressing and an awesome album. Definitely meant to be heard on a good sound system and turntable because this album blows up in your face with those classic Angus and Malcolm young Riffs. Brian Johnson will never be quite the lyricist nor vocalist compared to Bon Scott but he does a damn fine job paying tribute to the legends demise. A classic album which will stand the test of time!

Hi I have 3 of these albums all Australian Albert pressings, one has side 1 label on both sides of record but the media is a normal, does this constitute rare?

Edited 4 years agoHappy B-day Back In Black! If you don't yet have this classic rocker, shake a leg, wake the dead, and get one already! According to a Revolver article just published, this gem came out on July 21, 1980 (according to the liner notes on mine it was July 25, 1980), months after Bon Scott's sad demise. This one will shake you all night long, give you Hell's Bells, cut your cake, and teach you a very important lesson you need to learn and understand in this life. ROCK AND ROLL AIN'T NOISE POLLUTION!

Edited 3 years ago2nd highest selling album of all time - and yet they've never gotten a grammy award. I think that says a fair bit about about those awards.
