Turn Out the Lights
How I Learned to Love the Bootboys is so sweet that one can almost sweeten a cup of tea with it but it is so poisonous that one can almost poison rats with it. All these chimes, cellos, organ whispers give it the church atmosphere but all voluptuous sneering and equivocal innuendoes suggest an entourage of bordello. Songs of adultery and family affairs, requiems for the gone youth and lost innocence, ballads about music fetishes and how to get a hatchet man to ice a former sweetheart. In short: "Come on baby do the juke box jive, rock and roll will never die". Sweetness of smiles blends with the salt of tears.
