A1: Started in 1996 at Cheap Studios, Vienna and completed in Swingtime Dec 98.
A2: Recorded Jan 2001. All percussion taken from bodily function sounds kindly donated by strangers and friends around the world. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
B1: Recorded August 00
B2: Recorded originally in Jan 97 then completed over the next three years. Horns by Peter Wraight and vocals by Shingai Shinowa are no longer in it. Door slams recorded at Five Oak, Green.
C1: Recorded June 97. Horns and Flute added in Swingtime Sept 00. Additional percussion sampled from the recordings and added six months and three years later. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
C2: Recorded June 97. Additional percussion sampled from the recordings and added in Swingtime later. Original version appeared on "Around The House" LP 1998. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
C3: Recorded in October 00 before the birth of Sunray Star. All percussion sounds are from Ray herself and were added after ther birth on 12.10.00. Lyrics started on Plakas Beach, Agios Ioannis, Greece August 00. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
D1: Recorded in November 00. Percussion sounds taken from recordings of laser eye surgery (Laser in Situ Keratomileusis) kindly provided by Matmos in San Francisco and originally recorded for their album "A Chance To Cut Is A Chance To Cure". Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
D2: Recorded September 00 and re-recorded Jan 01. All percussion sounds taken from bottles recycled behind London Road SE23. The scratchy sound at the beginning is of a mouse trying to get out of a waste bin it had fallen into in the studio. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
E1: Recorded October 00. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.
E2: Recorded August 98. All eight vocal takes are used simultaneously. Written according to the rules of PCCOM.

Edited 5 years agoAn extraordinary example of the unexpected. By hearing in a whole. Needs a re-release. Wonder, why not happened till now.

Masterpiece. That's why it's getting scarce and expensive. There's a story going, the songs seem to complete each other. If it wasn't enough already, it comes on a nice gatefold and the mastering was well executed. All in all a must have for those into a more minimalistic electronic music.
