Edited 2 years agoTechnical digital analyis:
Disc with mastering code "3 82418-2 SRC**05" and toolstamp M1S49 has a write offset of +344 samples (+1376 bytes). A CD drive that can read into the lead-out is recommended for accurately reading the full contents of this pressing. -
Has anyone directly compared the sound quality of the 2017 remastered Lp (from deluxe release) to the 2020 unofficial releases? I'm interested to hear how they compare...

Overrated album
it sold 8 million copies in the USA thanks to the strategy of the record company. The Single PLUSH which was a radio hit and other singles where not released commercially. So the fans had to buy the more expensive album

Edited 19 years agoA classic album from these guys during the age of grunge. This was my first ever CD purchased, and it was a great choice. From hits like Plush, Sex Type Thing, Creep, Crackerman, and Dead & Bloated, who can go wrong? Weiland certainly was more the Eddie Vedder-wannabe of the time, but the rest of the band molded STP into a perfect machine on this album. Produced by Pearl Jam's records' producer Brenden O-Brien, the whole CD sounds great, flows superbly, and even balances out the whole trip through the STP world with a little precursor into the mind of Scott with "Wet My Bed" (featured on radio stations nationwide before Crackerman, too). Great CD. Pick it up.
