Boddika – Dun Dun / Prone

Joy O said this ones up for re press. Doesnt mean that the original wont be worth as much though if SUNKLO repress the record properly. Word to the collectors, dont get p*ssed if a records going to be repressed though (even though I have been in your position many times before.

That's how the game is played and nowadays more and more. Many reasons can lead to these limited editions from producers/labels and to be honest i kinda enjoy them. If i'm not able to buy these in time its a pain in the wallet. I've seen records solding out everywhere in less then a day. It sucks and you have to be fast and what is hard to see is artists and labels barely doing any profit in low quantities of wax and second hand dealers cashing in. There are so many over priced records in second hand market and some of the reasons are far worse, as for exemple, records overpriced because some in demand dj played them. Patience is the key to get a fair deal over 2nd hand records.

I'm pretty sure Joy said this wouldn't be particularly limited, so I would expect a repress soon!

You aren't going to see a decrease in any activity, stop complaining and pay the price. This is a limited vinyl which isn't going to be repressed, everywhere is sold out; that's what justifies the high price. If you enjoy the vinyl enough pay the price, if not then hush your mouth.

Monolithic and haunting sophomore release from Joy O & Boddika's SunkLo label. A side 'Dun Dun' features a stabby piano hook, fierce bleep & bloop synths, mysterious washed out background vocals [Joy O], and sandy latin shakers [Boddika] over top of a jacking house beat. B side takes a calmer tone with reverberous & delayed 303'd-out lead synths [reminiscent of synthwork in Boddika's 'Soul What' off of his 2011 2727 EP] over looping unintelligible vocal clips [presumably Joy O, though stylistically this is a step back in time from his introduction of more intelligible vocal sampling post-Ellipsis/Sicko Cell], delicate pad synths, and the intricate techno rhythm firmly established by this heroic duo within their prior & premier SunkLo release.

B side really steals the show for me; it's like you're surfing on some tropical beach somewhere on a bunch of downers but actually you're in Chicago at some high 90s rave. Brings us back to where we all were coming from - true techno music.
