I honestly think GC’s remix of The Biosphere is the best that music will ever get for me. I find that really hard to say as Oxygene was always the blueprint, and as much as it breaks my heart, Mark & Tom deserve top accolade for this one (sorry JMJ).

A jaw-dropping doubleheader from a time when there was such a fruitful melding of ambient, IDM, and techno. Black Dog take a wistful and breezy original and add their unmistakable scintillating percussive twist with a bit of acid, and the B-side redo of “The Biosphere” is just over-the-top bliss with a sugar-rush of a breakbeat and a tear-jerking main riff. 100% essential listening.

I absolutely love this record and have done for over 25 years. The best thing Global Communications ever did?

Global Communication mix of Biosphere is amazing - Sydney Australia DJ Torque featured it on his mixtape Backroad to Nirvana which also featured Orb's Little Fluffy Clouds. Played in the middle of a desert in South America at sunset ... amazing.. PS here's the tape Side A https://bit.ly/3bSGw9m side b https://bit.ly/2Tqf1gZ
